East Cape was a two-year design project which ranged from designing the floor plan in conjunction with the architect and builder, to selecting all the surface materials for the home including cabinetry design and finishes, flooring, custom concrete mosaic floor tiles, granite and marble counter tops, bathroom designs, and outdoor areas. The Client wanted a legacy property to be able to share with family, which was intended to last for future family generations. The Client wanted some Mexican touches, such as Talavera tiles from Puebla, as well as woven palm terraces for shade in the patio, pool and dining areas. Many of the furniture selections custom built in Guadalajara, Mexico.
